Fire Safe Community Meetings
Our next community meetings are being held in Angelus Oaks and Forest Falls
on April 9, 2022
Join us April 9th to learn more about defensible space, fire hazard abatement, invasive species (Gold spotted Oak Borer beetle - GSOB), the California FAIR Plan, Firewise USA, Fire Safe Councils, and resources available to help you be prepared for wildfire!
The first meeting on Saturday, April 9th, will be held 10am to Noon, at the San Bernardino County Fire Station #98, 5766 Frontage Rd, Angelus Oaks
The second meeting on April 9th will be held 2pm to 4pm, at the Valley of the Falls Community Center, 41303 Valley of the Falls Dr., Forest Falls
Participants include USDA Forest Service, CAL FIRE, San Bernardino County Fire, Natural Resource Conservation Services (NRCS), Inland Empire Fire Safe Alliance (IERCD), National Forest Foundation (NFF), CERT, Inland Empire Fire Safe Alliance, Mountain Rim Fire Safe Council, Wildwood Canyon Firewise, California FAIR Plan, Farmers Insurance and more.
Representatives will provide updates on agency activities, different projects and issues facing the communities with regards to invasive species, fire prevention, forest health, volunteer opportunities and the resources available to help you be prepared for wildfire. Attendees will be able to ask questions and, if interested, sign up for a local on the ground survey of the GSOB, to help identify the spread of this invasive insect.
The meetings are open to the public.
